Não assisti esse filme, porque vivi 60 anos em uma zona rural onde tudo era mais difícil, mas sempre gostei muito de musica através do radio, hoje vivo na cidade tenho acesso a Internet e vou muito ao UA-cam, quando vejo e ouço algumas músicas 🎶 que me emocionam , leio todos os comentários e vou aprendendo muito sobre o tema , agora aos 80 anos sei que sempre é tempo para curtir músicas boas. Michel legrand é um compositor que admiro muito , seja em temas de filmes ou interpretação com ele mesmo e outros artistas , ouvi Michel legrand cantando com a nossa querida cantora Elis Regina em um concerto em Paris ele parecia encantador com ela que infelizmente nos deixou cedo , ouvi também algumas músicas interpretadas por Johnny mathis encantador, Emfim qualquer gênero de composição de Michel legrand seja classica , temas para romances , é de uma beleza impressionante , não venho de família musical. Mas tenho sensibilidade para apreciar a boa música , mas vou procurar ver esse filme com certeza vou apreciar 🎉🎉divamartinsdacunha@gmail.com

I'm a professional composer and pianist, so watching "May December" and hearing the score immediately made my signals go off, because I was like, "This music is WAAAYYYY too period-accurate for it to be completely original". I see the credits at the end of the film, and, there it is, a shared credit.

The only good thing from a film about a brat boy who thought he knew better than the adults.

There should be a day every year to celebrate this man and his amazing work. So no one would forget, a special day for all UK steam enthusiasts.

No matter how it came about the scrapyard had invested money in buying these engines for scrap. NOT scrapping them immediately meant money lying around unused. Investment unrecouped. He COULD have increased the labour force to increase the rate of scrapping and get a better return. But luckily for the railway preservation movement that didn't happen. As in so many things good fortune played a part in what we now have. But DECISIONS are made by people. In our own country preserved engines came about by a somewhat related process. Engines were bought by councils for display. Eventually as they deteriorated there was asbestos and a change in attitude towards danger for children climbing on them. Many of those engines have been returned to be rebuilt for use. Saving the council a liability and giving a source for a range of engines that had otherwise disappeared.

I dont think there was much sentiment involved . Locos were spared scrapping for long enough to be preserved as Dai had so many goods wagons to deal with. These were much easier and quicker to dea with. However, it is definately thanks to him thst we can see so many lovely locos working today.

213 locos went in to woodham bros yard. 200 were preserved. The only reason a few were cut was to keep his men in work while freight wagons, that were easier to cut , were scarce

Esta película la vi en el cine en mi país en el año1973. Quedé tan enamorado de esta película que , creo que la vi 20 veces si no más. Me gustó todo lo de la pelicula por su belleza, por la brillante actuación de los actores y sobretodo por la actuacio de Dominic Guard ( Leo Colston nombre en la película ). Actualmente Dominic William Guard es un prestigioso Sicoterapista y autor de libros sobre el tema . Encontré una entrevista en UA-cam que se le hace a Dominic relacionada con la pelicula. En mi país ésta película fue conocida como El Mensajero del Amor. Esta película la he vuelto a ver en tres oportunidades en Internet. Nunca he olvidado esta película que fue ganadora de la Palma deOro en el festival de Cannes en Francia.

If you like the music of Michel Legrand, you MUST listen to his incredible score for "Wuthering Heights." One of his own favorites and, in my opinion, the most haunting score ever written for any film. I had the honor and pleasure of being able to tell him so in person. One of the truly greatt composers of all time.

A lovely little film about a huge gentleman,god rest his soul

I went to Woodhams around 1980 to see the locos and take the numbers. It was a last hurrah of my trainspotting career from around 58 to 67 when I visited 50 or so major sheds in London Manchester Birmingham Scotland etc. These engines made the preservation industry. Only 20 or so engines were originally officially scheduled for preservation. Some classes such as Bullied Pacifics have 20 or more representatives. Mind you, preserved trains are not the same as the excitement of mainline trainspotting, never knowing what train will come through, noise and speed.

Perhaps Dais Statue/Presentation should be at every preserved Railway to explain how it came about, and Industrial and Technical Heritage behind it in a time when Britain was workshop of rhe world , Not China !!..
